The mission of North Wake Church is to reach the lost and equip them to join with us in the process of becoming mature and ministering worshipers of God.
Love God…In Worship
The Bible tells the story of the powerful and loving acts of God to rescue and redeem a people from among all peoples—called the Church. The Bible points to the coming of one who will “seek and save what was lost” (Luke 19:10). Jesus Christ is that “One.” The gospel (good news) tells of who Jesus is and what he has done on our behalf, how God saves sinners by grace and how he rescues them from his righteous judgment over sin into fellowship with Him and His people. Through His life, His death and His resurrection, Jesus graciously provides the means by which human beings can once again know God and bring Him glory by pursuing His agenda (Titus 2:11-14).
This gospel is not “good advice” or a “way of life” - it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Rom 1:16). Therefore, this gospel power transforms everything about us, recreating a whole new life that can once again bring glory to God (2 Cor 5:17, Romans 6).
The ultimate purpose of life is the worship and glorification of God. When we gather as the church, our purpose is to fulfill and fuel the mission we were created for: to spread the glory and worship of God among all peoples. As God's people, we worship Him for who He is and what He has done, submitting to the authority of His Word and responding with the aspiration to live as mature and ministering worshipers of God (I Cor. 10:31).
